IADT Taster Day

IADT is hosting a Taster Day on Wednesday 2nd of November 2016 for 6th year students who are considering going to college in 2017. The Taster Day is also open to any 4th or 5th year students starting to explore their 3rd Level options.
 The Taster Day will allow  students to explore the campus, talk to staff and experience what our courses would feel like by taking part in one of our workshops.
 During the day, we will host 9 different workshops (from Entrepreneurship, English and Media Studies to Computing, Technology, Psychology and Photography). As places are limited, booking is essential.

UCD Undergraduate Open Day 2016

UCD Undergraduate Open Day 2016 – On Saturday 5th Novemberucd 2016 from 10am to 4pm UCD will again host our Open Day for prospective undergraduate students.
This year we are hosting the event in seven locations, the central exhibition area in UCD O’Reilly Hall and programme and general interest talks in UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business, UCD Sutherland School of Law, UCD Newman Building, UCD O’Brien Centre for Science, UCD International Global Lounge and UCD Health Sciences Centre.  Each prospective student will have the opportunity to structure their own day by self-selecting which talks, mini-seminars, and exhibitions they choose to visit.
The Main Venue – The UCD O’Reilly Hall will host the central exhibition and information stands for schools, degree programmes and support services. In the Conservatory in O’Reilly Hall, we will have a Parents’ & Alumni Haven where Parents, Alumni & Prospective Students will be able to relax and purchase refreshments.
 UCD Student Ambassadors will offer campus tours to our visitors throughout the day. Extra helpers will be on hand around the campus and in buildings to direct visitors to the talks.

Disability Access Map DARE

Students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties – follow your route to college with the DisAbility Access Map
This new interactive online desktop tool will allow you to track your path to college step by step and give you lots of great information and advice about:
  • the college application procedures – including the CAO, DARE & PLC Applications.
  • what you need to do to prepare for college life – including getting your finances in order and academic tools (e,g, great apps) to help you succeed.
  • how to get supports in college and how to approach your first semester.
Once you are on the map, you can go step by step in order, or visit the map and jump to a different stage. This tool was developed by AHEAD and DAWN (Disability Advisors Working Network) with support from DARE and the Confederation of Student Services in Ireland.
